My creative journey focuses and evolves around slow fashion statement accessories, mainly textile jewelry and any wearable items which can contribute to a unique versatile chic style for women (and men) who can boldly style their way with attitude. One of my main goals is to entice women to start moving away from fast fashion and know the many benefits of choosing slow fashion, handmade items and feel special and unique each time they wear them.
Fascinated with textiles from a very young age, I sought to acquire skills like crochet, tatting, macrame, weaving, lace making, knitting, sewing, ganutell, embroidery, cross-stitching etc. Mixing and blending techniques with various raw materials is a joy, tapping into a world in which possibilities are endless, enabling me to design and create my own original stuff as I have always hated following patterns designed by others.
Now, founder of Zelda designs I strive to dress other women with jewelry and accessories that compliment their character and personality, pieces that resonate with their colors and way of life, that have meaning and can accompany them through journeys.
My inspirations come from unexpected sources most of the time. I never can say what exactly triggers my imagination as my mind is always working on the next collection or project. I find that right before I fall asleep new designs and ideas often come rushing in and unless I jot them down or scribble something on a notepad (which is always by my side), I will not be able to sleep.
Colors, nature, contrasts, textures, haute couture, geometry, cultures, scents are also very often inspirational but most of all i found that the women I meet are the greatest source of inspiration as I am always fascinated by their unique combinations as I am reminded that each of us is one of a kind.
