  • by

On Friday 11th of February, 2022, Sensus Stockholm-Gotland organized an online meeting, with partners across Europe.

During the meeting good practices in entrepreneurial education, business creativity thinking, and crafters’ support project at national and European level ware presented. Together with partners across Europe we got inspired by similar projects involving crafters, artisans, and artists.

The meeting started off with a short presentation of the Microhub project.  The project aims at developing innovative digital training solutions to enhance the effectiveness and competitiveness of crafters’ and artisan’s microenterprises, especially in the context of participation to national and EU markets. At the same time, the project is devoted to all those individuals who wish to establish their own creativity micro and craft-type enterprise as a response to the crisis or unemployment. To accomplish the aims and objectives of the projects we during this meeting during this meeting listened to presentations of good practices from similar projects within the partner countries.

The projects presented ware:

  • “CraftHub” project, presented by Kieran Comerford, Carlow County Council, Ireland
  • “Crafting 50 & Beyond” project, presented by: Madina Benedenunit, Madineurope
  • “Craftmanship takes you everywhere!”, presented by: Celina Niehof,Handwerkskammer Flensburg
  • “RESTART_4DANUBE” project, by CCI Vratsa
  • “For Me”, by SEGE (Greek association of women entrepreneurs)
  • “PalKonect” project, bySensus
  • “ARTCademy” project, by University of Malaga

We further discussed the question about how to define the term Crafts. Is there a difference between Craftwork and artwork? Fine crafts and traditional crafts are terms that are generally accepted. We all agreed that we need to define this and address this question within the project In order to fulfil the aims and objectives.
