My professional experience & educational background is architecture, however soft-spot for crocheting, macrame and punch needle led me to designing unique interior pieces and clothes that allowed me full creative expression, especially in interior design. I quickly shifted from selling individualised works to teaching such handmade design and making it broadly accessible. For over 5 years I led stationary workshops, with time I moved online for bigger scale and opportunity to reach more people through on-line courses and workshops for both - individual and corporate clients. Since OPLOTKI.pl grows as a brand and thriving community of Polish crafters, I started sharing my business experience via on-line courses and coaching/mentoring programs ( https://oplotki.pl/sklep/ and https://agnieszkagaczkowska.pl/ ). In 2020 I crowdfunded and self published "OPLOTKI. Sukces Handmade" book (in Polish - https://oplotki.pl/ksiazka/). My mission is to empower Polish crafters to build sustainable handmade businesses based on their unique crafting skills and personalities in order to spread handmade gifts to the world on a big scale. I am fueled by multitude of crafting techniques represented by talented handmade artists. Each new workshop, skill, technique I meet, inspires me to dig deeper into my favourite ones with new energy. Inspires me to blend, mix, (re)construct. Each personal story of artisans I meet proves there is a healing potential to mind-yoga of the creative process. I believe it is so needed nowadays and I am on my way to dress it in a cool/modern/up to date tools to make it accessible to others. No matter the technique, I believe, there is some sort of magic to what handmade can offer to the world. Being on a constant journey to find out what is there still yet to discover about handmade is my constant source of inspiration.
