               Structure & rationale

This Competence Matrix is structured in line with the European Qualification Framework (EQF) and is
level 5 qualification. The role and function of level 5 qualifications is primarily labour market access
and providing opportunities for further learning for students with a VET (vocational education and
training) qualification or people already in employment.

Descriptions of the 8 levels of EQF can be found under this link

The MicroHUB Competence Matrix is built on specific sectoral skills (identified through conducted
research), those transversal ones for any entrepreneurial activities (based on EntreComp), as well
competences that will impact behaviours for a more sustainable future (GreenComp), for the
development of those soft skills that support successful professional digital activities (LifeComp,
               DigComp 2.2)
